New York: Betrayal in Manhattan

Alleged Crime Boss, Peter Whitman was found dead outside his New York hotel last night. The NYPD responded to a call of gunshots being fired at around 6pm. When they arrived at the scene, they found a man slumped over a memorial bench outside of the ‘Whitman Hotel’ building in downtown New York. The body has been identified as that of Mr Whitman.

Whitman, who fronted the ‘Whitman Hotel Co’ chain, is believed to have been murdered in a turf war, following a long running dispute with Miami criminals. A murder inquiry has been launched with New York Police Captain Clemente Haley, heading the operation. “We are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who may have seen something suspicious prior to or around the time of 5.30pm on the evening of the shooting to come forward.” Captain Haley said.

However, we can exclusively reveal that Mr Whitman was a victim of betrayal from within his own organisation. An inside source claims, that business partner and long-time friend of Mr Whitman, Frank Marino, set up his own boss. “It’s a complicated situation. Frank and Peter were close but Frank was always the guy at the back. He was always the guy looking on at what Peter was achieving.” Our inside man claims. “I know for a fact that Frank Marino was in talks with Chicago about how Peter was doing business. He signed Pete’s life away and went on a vacation while business was carried out under Chicago’s orders. You’ve only got to look at who Frank works for now. He’s always been the same, looking out for number one.”

Our inside man also went on to claim: “The old ways of the code are gone. Everyone involved just turned the other cheek and thanked their lucky stars that Chicago didn’t come knocking.”

NYPD Captain, Clemente Haley concluded: “No further information on the death or the investigation will be released until we have gathered all the evidence we can. For now, this is a murder investigation.”

Chicago: Lays down the law

This week Chicago underboss, Harvey Madson, has taken to the streets to declare, that any thug that is not affiliated with a criminal outfit, is fair game and that he will shoot on sight with no questions asked.

“A simple thug is all they are, a naughty school boy turning over a corner shop does not separate him in any way from any other thug.” Mr Madson said. This comes after Harvey admitted murdering a Las Vegas thug on the streets of Los Angeles, a tagged up Las Vegas thug that was supposedly under the protection of a program set up by the heads of the underworld across the country.

For several weeks the city of Las Vegas has been declared a city of opportunity, for anyone who fancies their chances at leading their own criminal empire. It was a bold move and one that surely should now be taken at face value, after it appears that the protection offered by Mr James McElroy, heading the operation from Detroit, cannot be assured.

“I’m a Consigliere (of Chicago), why are my actions being questioned?” Mr Madson continued. “I simply am not helping, nor will I ever help anyone that's in the race for Vegas."

Denver: Christmas Bank Massacre

A Detroit enforcer lay dead in the morgue last night as a plot to rob the Denver bank went drastically wrong. It appears that several members of the Detroit outfit headed to Denver, in an attempt to relieve the Denver bank of a special shipment that it was undertaking.

A large shipment of diamonds, that was due to leave the bank of New York under armguard, was expected to arrive at the Denver bank yesterday. Word of the expensive shipment must have spread to Detroit. However, due to extreme weather conditions, the shipment never arrived. If that wasn’t bad luck enough for the wannabe bank robbers, the high security was still in force at the Denver bank. It’s reported over twenty-five armed officers were at the scene after they received a tip off about the robber’s arrival.

Detroit enforcer, Alphonso, despite being advised to call off the robbery, still went ahead with proceedings. Alphonso, found himself outgunned and heavily outnumbered. “So, this guy just bursts in with what looks like a fake Santa Claus beard stuck on his face and starts waving a gun around. He doesn’t seem to realise that the bank is closed and the only people in here are the twenty-five security guards.” Denver Bank Manager, Christopher Coen said.

“He started shouting give me the diamonds! The laughter from the guards stopped and the gunfire began. I’ve never seen such a massacre, such a, such an amount of bullets hit one man in the face. The bank was just about empty except for a few dollars in the vault. The guy must have been nuts!”

Police are said to be making further inquiries although no statement has yet been made.
