A reporter of ours had been planted in Chicago, working the beat, trying to come up with any news on the latest bloodshed raging across the country. She put her life in great danger to hide out in the coffee shop of Norris Waller a member of the Chicago family, Sons of Silence. While there, she saw a gathering of men and made her way to the bathroom where she could overhear their meeting in a back office. She has transcribed the words of Norris Waller here. We obviously will keep her identity secret for her own safety. Norris spoke thusly:

"It all began Sunday evening. The word had come down. Denver was to be hit. Joe and his team were already out in Denver, laying low. When he saw the chance to attack Godfather BrotherMouzone, he took it. A few shots rang out through the Denver streets. Godfather Mouzone headed for the airport, and made his way safely out of the city to Los Angeles. Joe immediately went to work on the phones, trying to track him down, and was able to grab the last flight out to Los Angeles. Joe went to work hunting Brother down in LA, but Brother gave him the slip again, this time with a Church tour, and headed for Vegas. A local guy out in Vegas saw Mouzone and his beaten up men, and rang the office of Don GuidoPisani to see what was up. Pisani was in on the plan and flew out to Las Vegas to finish what Joe had started. As Don Pisani spotted Brother heading for a safe house, he and his entourage unloaded. A few of Brother's security were hit, but the Godfather escaped intact.

So then Mouzone lays low. Undoubtedly he was calling all his people. Seeing who was still with him, who had already been picked off. Sniffing out any rats, I'm sure. Putting a plan in place. He wasn't going to take this laying down. He was a man of respect, this attack would be met with force. During this time, some of Denver's associates were caught unaware of the attack. The families of Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago, Las Vegas and Miami had men stationed around the country, looking for loose ends to tie up. Joseph-Anastasio was the first Denver associate to drop, a Street Boss found in Dallas. StringerBell, an Earner, Pedro-Calfetti, another Denver Street Boss also fell. So far, no one of the upper structure of Denver had been harmed. Brother had reached out to almost all of them. Several more underlings dropped throughout Sunday night and into Monday morning. Met in various cities across the country. Put in the dirt. Monday morning saw the first big loss of the battle. A Denver Made Man, Mr_Carter was working for the Los Angeles outfit. He wasn't to be trusted and was gunned down on the streets of Chicago by Don Nicky of Atlanta. Nicky was working side-by-side with Guido. The call came in, Carter had been spotted, and Nicky was sent.

And this continued on through Monday and into this morning. Then we got the call. Don MikeLee of Denver was holed up in Chicago. He had come out, been spotted, and the phone call was made. Again, Don Nicky was sent in to take care of things. The battle swung both ways, with both Nicky and MikeLee losing men of their entourage to gunfire. Ultimately, Nicky made a call to a friend who got him on a plane out of town. MikeLee did not pursue him. We nailed down his location and Godfather Eruzione flew in to finish the job. MikeLee and his team were battered, and when Eruzione wounded him Severe, MikeLee realized that he had worn out his welcome in Chicago. MikeLee made a move to the airport a bit after Nicky, but headed to the safety of New York, who had not, and did not enter the battle. When Don Annabelle of Dallas saw him come out of the airport, she opened fire. MikeLee's team returned fire, and MikeLee landed a Major shot on her. She decided to head out to what she thought was a safe place, her hometown of Dallas.

So Annabelle flies out to Dallas and MikeLee is safe in New York, or so he thought. A call was made, and Don John Todaro, originally of the recently-reorganized Camorra Syndicate, went to work looking for MikeLee. He found him, and after a brief battle, John's bullet found it's mark and MikeLee was killed. Godfather Mouzone had decided it was time to act. He quickly flew into Dallas to finish off the injured Annabelle. She wasn't having it, and managed to blend in with a Church group on a road trip long enough to head north to Chicago.

With MikeLee dead in New York and Godfather Mouzone all alone in Dallas, the war seemed to be quieting back down. But EdmondFischer does not like quiet. The Atlanta Earner saw Brother and his team trying to blend into the Dallas scene and knew something was up. He made a phone call and confronted Brother, killing a bodyguard before heading for safety. Godfather Caerus of Vegas had been waiting for a call, and when it came, he was ready. He quickly flew into Dallas and confronted Mouzone. The two battled, but in the end Caerus finished the Godfather of Denver with a fatal bullet. Caerus, thinking his work was done for the day, called his team together and headed for a spot to lay low.

But Don AngelaValdes doesn't like quiet either. Her boss was dead. His RHM was dead. And she wanted vengeance. She quickly flew in to pick up where her boss left off, gunning for Caerus and his team as they headed across town. She managed to corner them a few times, killing a few members of Caerus's security detail.

And that's when we lost her. After the death of Brother, that's when we flew in. I wanted to make sure there were no other Denver associates planning a surprise for Caerus when he headed for the airport. Unfortunately, we got there about the same time as Valdes. That call I got? That was an informant letting me know she was in town, and hunting for Caerus. We couldn't let her attack him without warning. That's why we attacked her. That's why Patricia is not with us. It is my fault. I was arrogant and naive.

Luckily, Valdes was preoccupied with her quest for vengeance. We did our best to distract her, then Godfather Eruzione flew in from Chicago. I called to let him know that Caerus was being attacked. Like us, he wasn't going to let that happen. He came in, and his and Valdes' groups finally met each other in an alley outside Caerus's safe house. Bodies fell on both sides, but a final hail of bullets ended it all. Valdes fought bravely, but she was hit with a bullet and bled out in the alley."

Safe to assume, this is how it went down. Norris was speaking in private, or so he thought, to his men. So it seems that this matter is settled, and the Denver family has been wiped out. For now. We are also hearing murmurs that the future for Denver is not as up in the air as one may assume. But that is a story for another day.
