FBN RAIDS

I was in the field, downtown Chicago as the Chief stood, his mustache as rigid and immovable as his position on the mobster scum that had been given free reign. I was to be witness to the beginning of what I was informed would be many attacks on mob holdings throughout the country, no longer I was told would the police stand idly by as arms and bullets were endlessly stockpiled.

The howl of the wind was all that was heard in the dark night as the team of law enforcement quietly made way across the grass, all in black gear it was the biggest cloak and dagger op I had ever witnessed in my journalistic career, one look back towards the Chief a smoking cup of coffee on the hood of his unmarked car & all hell broke loose as he gave a curt nod, no scream from him. The men knew what they were doing and the doors went in as if they were chip wood, mobsters tried to make a run for it as we witnessed a treasure trove of objects. One had managed to break free of the cordon around the building, a gasp escaped me as he made right for us before the rock like fist of the Chief connected with the assailants jaw.

“Cuff him.”

The FBN weren’t taking the increasing Director’s deaths lying down anymore, it was time to hit back & much like the ending of the age of pirates is this beginning of the end for the Mafia in the United States? We’ve seen many attacks to try limit the ever growing mob force in this country, but to go after personal possessions no matter how valuable, it seemed no one was to be safe anymore.

DIRECTOR CURSE STRIKES

Overconfidence? A pre-emptive strike? With Michael Corleone now long buried we may never know his full reasons for his ill fated attack on Los Angeles trio of Royal Tenebaum, Wesley and the destructive Side Glance.

What at first started as any war did, looked to be going as well as could be expected, they had the jump on Los Angeles they had the firepower in Corleone and Clay in the vanguard, but in a time where the lone family attack is becoming something of the past we can see why, as the Los Angeles put up a defensive fight it was clear they were onto a hiding for nothing, moving outwards to Chicago they then took to safe houses with Fred the lone Don of Atlanta striking down Detroit Boss Jimmy Smith , with most expecting Chicago to rush out gun in hand, it was actually SAS of Miami that turned up and quickly went to work on the now backward pedaling Detroit family. SAS no strangers to war saw Los Angeles come back out and into the fray the now wavering Detroit all but gone. Wesley landing the finishing blow on Corleone. As was said in the last issue Michael Corleone would have numerous jealousy laden individuals and so it was as almost the entirety of the 9 cities swept up to make sure he was no longer any threat to their business, Clay Burton dying valiantly in an oft not seen move by taking a bullet directly to the chest for his flailing boss.

With so many of the families working cohesively it remains to be seen whether any of the families that didn’t participate will now be seen as a risk to the fraught peace we already hold.




VOLATILE VEGAS

Nevada mob boss one Vinny Gorgeous was found deceased at 3:38 pm, November 5th struck down by Captain Milan Byers who sources within the FBN say could be due a promotion at landing such a high profile kill. It’s unclear where Gorgeous’s vast protection unit was at the time the fatal shot landed, with some reports talking of trouble within the bodyguard union we’d have to be rather pessimistic to believe they just parted like the red sea. Milan Byers is known as a crack shot within the FBN and they say it won’t be the last he takes, a former military man who has served extensively for the States we fail to see his story ending here, with Vegas possibly wanting revenge over the death of a very well liked leader.

Which leads us to a possible power struggle within the La Stidda Family, with two clear leadership candidates within the family, the quiet but firm Marketos and largely unknown Dante, both the rank of Consigliere the keys to the headquarters could only fall to one, Marketos was the one who received them and quickly sought out his brothers and sisters view on him taking over the reigns, a man in the shadows no doubt he didn’t feel comfortable gaining such responsibility. Views were expressed about the possibility disbanding & seeking shelter elsewhere as the fear was without Vinny the other families could muscle in. At this point Zed and Dante had to be forcibly separated as their raised voices and aggressive stances flew the meeting into an uproar.

With the tempers finally settling the Vegas family were quick to get behind Marketos with Dante gaining absolutely no support in a leadership race he was always going to lose. So with the family united behind one leader for the moment us here at the Mosquito wonder how long it can last, under Vinny Gorgeous his word was law, but is Marketos perhaps too nice? Only time will tell, whether he sits comfortably on the chair, his first challenge assuring the nation he can control the many loud voices now emanating from Nevada.

In a week of high profile deaths including the demise of Las Vegas, Chicago & Miami ranks it is in the funeral of high powered Vinny Gorgeous which is most notable. The death that has seemingly left his family with no protector, notable attendees from all cities had travelled to pay their final respects.
